Full size cribs have specifically mandated dimensions whereas mini cribs are usually about 36 to 43 long. And don t forget mini cribs have the same height as full size standard cribs. So any crib smaller than a standard size crib is a mini crib. Quite simply a mini crib is just a smaller version of a standard crib.

Mini cribs can be about the same width as standard cribs 28 inches or they can be a tad narrower around 24 inches. The standard crib takes up more space compared to a mini crib. However the majority of mini cribs have dimensions 38 by 24 so they are 14 shorter and 4 narrower form standard cribs. A mini crib mattress is 24 inches wide and 38 inches long.

With the smaller size come drawbacks however. For example a standard crib mattress is 28 inches wide and 52 inches long. But would our child outgrow it too quickly. A standard size crib is bigger in size and not necessarily portable.
